Job Title: Food & Beverage Cashier

Department: Finance Department

Reports Directly To: Accounting Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Food & Beverage Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, handling cash and credit card payments, and reconciling daily sales. This role demands strong attention to detail, excellent numerical skills, and a commitment to delivering professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cash Handling and Transaction Management

  • Accurately process customer orders and payments using the POS system (cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments).
  • Manage assigned cash float, ensuring accurate change and adherence to company cash handling procedures and security protocols.
  • Process and track discounts, promotions, and gift vouchers with proper documentation.
  • Reconcile cash, credit, and sales records at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies immediately.

2. Customer Service and Order Support

  • Greet customers warmly and provide clear, courteous information regarding menu items, prices, and payment options.
  • Relay accurate order information to kitchen or bar staff, especially during peak hours.
  • Handle basic billing or payment complaints and escalate complex issues to supervisors or managers.

3. Reporting and Compliance

  • Generate daily sales reports, transaction summaries, and void/cancellation reports as required.
  • Submit daily F&B room charges for guests (with names and room numbers) and stockholders for proper recording and monitoring.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of POS terminals, payment devices, and printers.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, particularly around the service counter.

4. Additional Duties

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications:

  • College Level or Senior High School Graduate.
  • Experience in a similar position is an advantage.
  • Experience in cashiering, money-handling, and using POS systems is an advantage.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
  • Keen attention to detail, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Willing to work in shifting schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Trainable and able to start as soon as possible.
