Accounting Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
• At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably within a distribution, trading, or healthcare/medical industry
• In-depth knowledge of Philippine financial reporting standards and tax regulations (e.g., BIR, SEC, GAAP)
• Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel (advanced)
• Experience in budget planning, cost control, pricing analysis, and financial forecasting
• Strong grasp of internal controls, audit preparation, and reconciliation practices

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary: The Finance and Accounting Manager leads the department in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy of records, regulatory compliance, financial forecasting, and cost control. This role ensures the integrity of financial systems, timely submission of statutory reports, and alignment of financial practices with business goals. The position plays a critical role in advising management on financial performance, funding, and strategic decisions.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain general ledger and oversee all journal entries and adjustments
• Comply with financial standards and regulatory requirements (BIR, SEC, etc.)
• Prepare and submit financial reports required by management and external parties

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Lead the preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of the company's annual budget
• Provide periodic updates on budget vs. actual reports, variance analysis, and financial trends
• Support business units in aligning spending plans with targets and strategic objectives

Cash Flow and Treasury Management

• Oversee daily cash flow, disbursements, and fund allocations across accounts
• Monitor collections and coordinate with Sales on receivable follow-ups
• Manage bank relationships, online banking transactions, and fund transfers
• Provide monthly cash position and forecasting reports

Tax and Regulatory Filings

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, 2307s, and other BIR requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits and tax assessments
• Ensure compliance with SEC, local government, and other applicable financial regulations

Internal Controls and Audit

• Establish, implement, and monitor financial controls to safeguard company assets
• Conduct internal audits or spot checks as needed to ensure compliance with internal policies
• Lead preparation and response to external audits and reviews

Cost and Pricing Analysis

• Analyze cost structures, profitability, and pricing strategies for products and services
• Provide historical cost data and input for pricing decisions, procurement, and sales planning
• Support inventory valuation, margin analysis, and cost optimization

People Development and Team Leadership

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate performance of Finance and Accounting team members
• Foster continuous improvement and upskilling within the team
• Ensure team alignment with company values and compliance with company policies and ethical standards
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned in line with departmental and corporate objectives

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php40, Php60,000.00 per month
