Job Description

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize labor utilization. This role ensures that production operations run smoothly while maintaining high-quality standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing production processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop solutions to eliminate waste and bottlenecks.
  • Design and implement efficient production layouts that optimize material flow, equipment placement, and ergonomics.
  • Develop and maintain work standards and operating procedures to ensure consistent quality and productivity.
  • Conduct time studies and implement work measurement programs to establish labor utilization benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Maintenance and Quality Control to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Research and apply industry best practices, new technologies, and methodologies to enhance production performance.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to production processes, standards, and procedures.
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
  • Participate in the selection and procurement of new equipment and machinery when required.
  • Assist in daily production operations to ensure smooth workflow and target efficiency achievement.
  • Oversee personnel within the production area to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Perform other duties and special assignments as directed by the Plant Manager.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in production or manufacturing

  • Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven experience in production process optimization, layout design, and work measurement

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
