JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial Statements.

  • Manage collections: Monitor overdue accounts, follow up with customers on late payments, and ensure timely collections.

  • Account reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts, apply payments correctly, and resolve any discrepancies or disputes.
  • Reporting and analysis: Generate and analyze AR aging reports, prepare reports for management on AR status and trends, and support month-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Internal collaboration: Work with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve billing issues and facilitate smooth payment processes.
  • Process improvement: Evaluate and recommend solutions for continuous improvement of AR processes.
  • Compliance and documentation: Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies, and maintain detailed records of all collection efforts.
  • Performs other tasks as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Must be a graduate of 4-year business related course, Accounting/Finance/Management
  • 4-6 years of experience in the industry
  • High level of proficiency with Excel
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills including complex financial models, advanced formulas, and data analysis capabilities
  • Extensive familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Understand GAAP and other accounting principles
  • E-commerce (Amazon, Shopify, Alibaba, etc.) experience
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Acumatica, NetSuite, Quickbooks, SAP, etc...)
  • Dynamic problem-solving skills
  • Amazing time management skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytic skills
  • Incredible attention to detail to catch errors
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking and organizational skills
