About the opportunity
Dayforce is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist for our Global Payroll team, supporting Asia Pacific and Japan payrolls. In this role you will work alongside the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, India, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand Payroll Specialists, and assist in the processing of end-to-end payroll for Dayforce's current and future growth locations. You will be connecting with employees on a wide range of inquiries regarding HR & Payroll policies/procedures and will provide support and assistance to HR team members & leaders as required. This position will require you to work during Philippine business hours.
What you'll get to do
Assists with the preparation and processing of the payroll in various countries including, but not limited to, processing new hires, position changes and cost center changes.
Assist with the gathering, auditing, and analysis of routine HRIS and payroll data, as well as creating, running, and distributing payroll reports to appropriate stake holders.
Assists with interpreting and communicating company policies, and providing assistance, advice, and support to employees on payroll related inquiries.
Assists with the maintenance of electronic employee files, understanding the sensitivity and confidentiality of the information and protecting our employees' PII
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and experience we value
1-3 years' experience in a Payroll role
A thorough understanding of the role and function of an HR and Payroll team, with experience using an HRIS.
Strong proficiency with Excel, Word and Adobe.
Possess a high level of dependability, maturity, confidentiality, and courtesy.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including proficient English verbal and written communication to all levels of employees.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills with a flexible approach and positive attitude to adapt to changing work requirements.
Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Emphasis on accuracy and quality while adhering to internal controls.
Ability to effectively work with international colleagues, engaging with teammates and leaders across the world.
What would make you really stand out
Previous experience with Asia Pacific payrolls
Payroll certification through the Certified Payroll Professional (CCP)
Knowledge of employment standards and Payroll legislation Asia Pacific
Experience in Dayforce or similar cloud payroll technology
