Accurate Bookkeeping, LLC is a trusted bookkeeping firm based in Ohio, providing expert financial support to a wide range of small businesses. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to support multiple clients with daily bookkeeping and payroll needs. You'll work directly with the owner and become a key part of delivering accurate, timely, and reliable financial services.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts across multiple clients
Record and categorize expenses, income, and journal entries
Process payroll using QBO Payroll (or similar) accurately and on time
Assist in preparing reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries
Maintain and organize financial documents for clients
Communicate with clients regarding missing documents or transaction clarifications
Support onboarding of new client accounts when needed
Meet deadlines and respond promptly to client or internal communication
2+ years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Experience managing multiple client accounts
Solid understanding of accounting principles
High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
Tech-savvy and able to learn new tools quickly
Comfortable working independently in a remote setup
Experience with U.S. bookkeeping practices and tax basics
Familiarity with tools like Gusto, ADP, or other payroll platforms
Prior experience working with a U.S. accounting/bookkeeping firm
Reliable internet and backup connection
Quiet home office setup
Availability to work during U.S. Eastern Time hours
Willingness to undergo skills assessments and video interviews
