About the Role

Accurate Bookkeeping, LLC is a trusted bookkeeping firm based in Ohio, providing expert financial support to a wide range of small businesses. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to support multiple clients with daily bookkeeping and payroll needs. You'll work directly with the owner and become a key part of delivering accurate, timely, and reliable financial services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online (QBO)

  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts across multiple clients

  • Record and categorize expenses, income, and journal entries

  • Process payroll using QBO Payroll (or similar) accurately and on time

  • Assist in preparing reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries

  • Maintain and organize financial documents for clients

  • Communicate with clients regarding missing documents or transaction clarifications

  • Support onboarding of new client accounts when needed

  • Meet deadlines and respond promptly to client or internal communication

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll

  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online

  • Experience managing multiple client accounts

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles

  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Tech-savvy and able to learn new tools quickly

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setup

Nice to Have

  • Experience with U.S. bookkeeping practices and tax basics

  • Familiarity with tools like Gusto, ADP, or other payroll platforms

  • Prior experience working with a U.S. accounting/bookkeeping firm

Requirements

  • Availability to work during U.S. Eastern Time hours
