The Supervisor, Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible for overseeing daily quality operations, ensuring products, processes, and services meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role supervises the QA team, drives compliance with policies, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Oversight
  • Supervise day-to-day QA activities including inspections, audits, testing, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry certifications (e.g., ISO, GMP, HACCP depending on industry).
  • Review and approve quality records, reports, and non-conformance documentation.
  • Monitor production/operations processes to identify deviations or risks.
Team Supervision & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop QA inspectors/technicians.
  • Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Conduct training sessions to maintain awareness of quality and safety standards.
Compliance & Audit
  • Support internal and external audits (regulatory, customer, and certification audits).
  • Maintain documentation and records required for compliance.
  • Drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Escalate and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
Process Improvement
  • Identify root causes of quality issues and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with operations, production, and supply chain teams to improve processes.
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Analyze quality data and trends to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Investigate and address customer complaints related to product or service quality.
  • Ensure timely communication of quality issues and resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, procurement, and other departments.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP, HACCP, FDA, etc. depending on industry).
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies (CAPA, FMEA, root cause analysis, SPC).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software (QMS).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
