Construction Manager

The ideal candidate for this position will directly plan, supervise, and oversee all phases of construction projects while ensuring that specifications and plans are accurately adhered to, within budget, and on schedule. He or she needs to ensure that construction projects are completed on schedule, to prevent delays that could cause critical or financial risk, and to manage construction emergencies and other unforeseen issues that may arise. As part of this role, the manager will have to create a high-performance culture in the construction department by adopting people management practices that emphasize empowerment, quality, productivity standards, and goal attainment.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinating and supervising construction activities, including managing subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions
  • Providing regular progress updates and reports to senior management
  • Collaborating with the design team to resolve technical and design-related issues
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of work experience as a construction manager or supervisor
  • Preferably with retail work experience
  • Willing to work or relocate in Legazpi City
