Job Summary:

The Vendor Relations Supervisor is responsible for building, maintaining, and strengthening partnerships with vendors and suppliers. This role ensures that vendor relationships support the company's procurement goals by securing high-quality goods and services at competitive prices, resolving vendor concerns, and monitoring performance. The position also supervises vendor engagement activities, contract compliance, and ensures smooth coordination between vendors and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise day-to-day vendor relations activities to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to foster collaboration and reliability.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding, accreditation, and compliance with company requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors on procurement needs, delivery schedules, and service issues.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, addressing issues such as delays, disputes, or quality concerns.
  • Ensure contracts and agreements are properly implemented and adhered to.
  • Negotiate with vendors for favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Work closely with internal departments to align vendor services with operational requirements.
  • Maintain updated vendor databases, records, and reports for management reference.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve vendor performance and procurement efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and procurement systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with both vendors and internal teams.
