About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Baker to join our talented culinary team at the Holiday Plaza Hotel in the vibrant city of Cebu. As a Pastry Baker, you will be responsible for crafting a variety of high-quality baked goods, from delectable pastries to indulgent desserts, to delight our hotel guests. This is a full-time position, and you will play a crucial role in upholding the excellence of our hotel's F&B offerings.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing a wide range of pastries, breads, and desserts following recipes and quality standards
  2. Ensuring consistent presentation and flavour profiles of all baked goods
  3. Collaborating with the culinary team to develop new and innovative pastry and dessert offerings
  4. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols
  5. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior members of the pastry team
  6. Assisting with inventory management and ordering of necessary baking supplies

What we're looking for

  1. Formal training or certification in baking and pastry arts
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Baker in a high-volume hospitality or food service environment
  3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
  4. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  5. Passion for creating visually appealing and delicious baked goods
  6. Strong teamwork and communication skills
