Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Manila, Philippines (Work From Home) and Dumaguete, Philippines (On-site)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to provide oversight, auditing, and continuous improvement of our network infrastructure outside of the traditional IT organization. This role will focus on proactive monitoring, incident post-mortems, and process optimization to ensure faster resolution times and greater network stability. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network management, troubleshooting methodologies, and network management software, with a proven track record of driving process standardization.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular audits of network configurations to ensure compliance, security, and efficiency.

Perform post-mortem analyses for all outages and network incidents to identify root causes and preventive measures.

Design and implement troubleshooting flows to streamline issue resolution and reduce downtime.

Review and recommend network management software and tools to ensure proactive monitoring and early detection of potential failures.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, IT, and Communications teams) to identify network improvement opportunities.

Develop process improvement frameworks to standardize incident response and escalation procedures.

Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to relevant teams on best practices in network management and issue resolution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

8+ years of experience in network engineering, with emphasis on remote network management and troubleshooting.

Strong expertise in network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall management.

Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).

Proven experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective action plans.

Strong ability to design and document troubleshooting flows and technical processes.

Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate across multiple departments and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with a track record of driving process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills

Experience working in BPO, shared services, or multinational environments.

Familiarity with ITIL processes or similar frameworks.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices within network environments.

Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
