Job description:

Specifications Writer Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and prepare Outline Specifications, Performance Specification and Technical Specification based on "Master Specification" for the projects
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to gather necessary information and compile Engineering Specifications.
  • Ensure specifications are compliant with industry standards and regulations
  • Review and revise existing specifications to meet current project needs
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of specifications for various projects
  • Convert Performance Specifications to Material Reference / Specifications
  • Interpret technical drawings and diagrams to include relevant details in specifications
  • Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure specifications fulfill quality requirements
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to discuss specification revisions and updates
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals by providing detailed specifications
  • Create and manage documentation templates for future projects
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends to ensure specifications reflect the latest standards
