Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you'll prepare and review financial statements and tax returns, ensure compliance with Australian standards, and collaborate on advisory projects. You'll also mentor junior accountants and drive process improvement across systems, shaping the future of global accounting excellence.

Shift: Day Shift, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Australian time), Weekends Off

The Qualifications We Seek

  • 4+ years of experience in public practice accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards
  • Experience in financial reporting and compliance, preparing special purpose financial statements from start to finish with minimal review points
  • Experience in specialized areas of taxation
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Xero
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

What would be considered favorably:

  • CPA or CA qualified (or progressing towards it)
  • High proficiency in APS
  • Experience with year-end tax planning strategies
  • Experience managing junior team members
  • Experience in Cross-border taxation, Country-by-Country reporting, or Transfer Pricing

Your Daily Tasks

  • Prepare and review Australian tax returns, special purpose financial statements, BAS, and FBT returns
  • Ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations and standards
  • Engage directly with clients and build trusted relationships
  • Collaborate with partners and managers on international tax and advisory projects
  • Mentor junior accountants and promote professional development
  • Drive process improvements and automation across financial systems
  • Identify business development opportunities and contribute to firm growth
