About the role

We are seeking an experienced Shipping Coordinator to join our dynamic team at SAN MIGUEL INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SERVICES, INC.'. In this contract role, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of goods through the import and export process.

What you'll be doing

Operation Optimization:


• Accept and process shipment bookings from Business unit.


• Review and verify the details of each booking, including shipment type, origin, destination, container size, type of container and target Requested Delivery Date (RDD).


• Check with the Awarded Provider the available sailing schedule, frequency and transit time.


• Present to BU the available sailing schedule, frequency and transit time.


• Arrange the booking process with the Awarded Provider chosen by the Business Unit for the shipment.


• Coordinate with Shipping Provider the Target Pickup, Estimated Time of Departure (ETD), and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) at Destination.


• Inform Business unit and warehouse on the Target Pickup, Estimated Time of Departure (ETD), and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) at Destination.


• Provide Loading Plan to BU and Warehouse Team for monitoring and guidelines.


• Send daily reminder to shipping providers on the loading schedule, call time, required PPE and personnel (checker and mano).


• Continuously monitor the real-time status of all trucks scheduled for loading on the given day, ensuring that trucks are on track to arrive at the loading site.


• Ensure that the required number of checkers and helpers are present and ready as per the loading schedule.


• Monitor the Progress of Each Loading Operation to Ensure Compliance with LCT and Free Time Limits.


• Work closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to prepare for the smooth handling and dispatch of shipments.


• Regular reminder to Shipping Providers to provider Shipment Monitoring Report on or before 2pm.


• Submit Delivery Status Report to BU and Warehouse.


• Provide update on the status of the shipment via Viber, email and Text message

2.Financials and Cost Management:


• Close monitoring to prevent Incidental Charges During Loading and Delivery.


• Regularly monitor the actual volume against the target volume to ensure that performance aligns with set goals and established to grow the business to generate additional volume / income.


• Attend regular meetings with the BU and Warehouse to for alignment and process improvement

What we're looking for

  • Graduate of 4 years course in business administration / operation management / customs administration
  • 1 to 2 years background in shipping / forwarding / logistics
  • Related to business administration / operation management / customs administration
  • With strong communication skills
  • Can handle pressure with minimal supervision
