We are seeking a
Purchasing Manager
who is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's procurement activities to ensure that all materials, supplies, and services are acquired at the best possible value. This role involves developing purchasing/procurement strategies, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies

  • Establish effective purchasing policies and cost-saving strategies aligned with company objectives and both local & international regulations.

Source and evaluate suppliers

  • Identify, assess and quality local and international suppliers to ensure quality, reliability and competitive pricing.

Negotiate contracts and terms

  • Secure the best possible terms for price, delivery, payment and warranty while ensuring compliance both domestic and foreign vendors to achieve the best commercial and operational outcomes.

Oversee Importation and logistics coordination

  • Manage importation processes including documentation, customs clearance, shipping arrangement, and compliance with Philippine trade and customs regulations.

Monitor market trends and global pricing

  • Stay updated on market movements, exchange rates, commodity prices, and supply chain trends to anticipate cost fluctuations and supply risks

Ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements

  • Adhere to company policies, ethical procurement standards, and all applicable local and international trade laws and regulations.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate with operations, finance, logistics, and warehouse departments to align procurement schedules with production or project timelines.

Optimize inventory management and cost control

  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and implement purchasing plans that reduce excess stock while preventing material shortages

Evaluate supplier performance and risk

  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent quality and service quality.

Lead and Develop the purchasing team

  • Supervise, train, and mentor procurement staff to strengthen capabilities in negotiation, supplier management and global sourcing best practices.

Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement in luxury retail, furniture, lifestyle, or related industries.
  • With proven track record in purchasing, sourcing, and vendor management across local and foreign markets.
  • Experience in importation, customs processes, and international trade compliance is an advantage.
