The Sr. Manager, Data Ops is responsible for leading and managing the operational performance of enterprise data platforms including ETL pipelines, data lakes, BI tools (Power BI), and cloud environments (Azure, Databricks). This role ensures data availability, integrity, and performance across systems, while also handling Level 1 and Level 2 support operations.

The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as IT, business stakeholders, and global counterparts to ensure efficient data operations, governance, and adherence to best practices.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Lead the administration, monitoring, and support of enterprise data platforms (Azure, Databricks, Power BI, SQL)
  2. Oversee ETL workflows, data pipelines, and orchestration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse)
  3. Manage and resolve L1 and L2 incidents related to data pipelines, BI dashboards, and cloud systems
  4. Work closely with global and local teams to ensure SLAs are met
  5. Maintain and improve observability, data quality checks, and automation processes
  6. Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security policies
  7. Guide and mentor Data Engineers and Analysts in operational best practices
  8. Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization
  9. Contribute to continuous improvement of DataOps processes and DevOps integration

Technical Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Synapse

  • Power BI administration and user access control
  • SQL, Python, or scripting for automation
  • Familiarity with monitoring and incident tools (Azure Monitor, DataDog, etc.)
  • Good understanding of data governance, compliance, and access control
  • Exposure to ITIL, Agile, or DevOps practices is a plus

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work with global teams across different time zones

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proven ability to manage both strategic planning and day-to-day operations
