
Technical Sales Manager

Position Overview:
The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth by combining technical expertise with strong business development skills. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and providing tailored technical solutions to meet customer needs. The Technical Sales Manager works closely with the sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and business partners.
- Understand client requirements and provide technical expertise to propose suitable solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, R&D, product management) to customize offerings.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of business with clients and partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management.
- Mentor and support the sales team by providing technical knowledge and guidance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related field
- 3-5 years' experience technical sales set-up, 2 years of which in management role in technical sales or sales engineering in the food and beverage company.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value for clients.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office (knowledge of ERP/analytics software is a plus).
