Position Overview

The role requires a well-rounded HR Generalist who can oversee all areas of Human Resources and General Affairs (GA), with strong expertise in labor relations, labor law, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage HR and GA functions from the ground up.
  • Lead labor relations: ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, manage employee relations, and oversee government reporting.
  • Handle recruitment, onboarding, and training for both store and office staff.
  • Manage payroll, compensation & benefits, attendance, and overall HR operations.
  • Support expatriates with work permits, visas, and government compliance requirements.
  • Develop HR policies, procedures, and an employee handbook tailored to a startup/venture environment.
  • Serve as a bridge between Japanese management and local employees, fostering a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' HR experience with a strong focus on Philippine labor relations and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOLE regulations, government reporting (SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, BIR), and handling employee cases.
  • Broad HR generalist background covering recruitment, payroll, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and training.
  • Experience in the retail or service industry is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and adaptable to a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Business-level English and Filipino language proficiency required; Japanese language skills are a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php100, Php150,000.00 per month
