About the role

Join the engineering team at Holiday Plaza Hotel as an Engineering Supervisor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of all hotel facilities and equipment, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff. Based in Cebu City, Cebu, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of this renowned hospitality establishment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage a team of engineers and technicians to efficiently carry out maintenance tasks and resolve issues
  2. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to proactively identify and address potential problems
  3. Oversee the maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other hotel systems to ensure optimal performance
  4. Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  5. Collaborate with other hotel departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise disruption to operations
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  7. Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, and identify training needs
  8. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and prepare reports for management

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Engineering Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the hotel or hospitality industry
  2. Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
  3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
  4. Proficient in using computerised maintenance management systems and other relevant software
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
  6. Ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians and engineers
  7. Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  8. Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
