Plant Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Power Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities of the power plant to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance. The role requires strong technical knowledge in power generation systems, equipment troubleshooting, and personnel supervision. The Supervisor will coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational targets while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day operations and maintenance of power generation equipment and facilities.
- Monitor plant performance, equipment efficiency, and operating parameters.
- Lead troubleshooting activities and ensure timely resolution of equipment issues or system alarms.
- Oversee the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, and company standards.
- Prepare and submit operational and maintenance reports, logs, and documentation.
- Manage and train plant operators, technicians, and maintenance staff.
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers when necessary.
- Participate in plant improvement and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Support emergency response and contingency planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance (coal, diesel, biomass, geothermal, or other types).
- Strong background in plant systems, including generators, turbines, boilers, transformers, switchgears, and control systems.
- Experience in supervising technical teams and handling shift operations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, ISO standards, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules and be assigned on-site.
