About the role

As an Engineering Supervisor at Holiday Plaza Hotel, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel's engineering department. This is a full-time position based in Cebu City, Cebu, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the hotel's critical infrastructure and equipment.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the engineering team, including technicians and maintenance staff
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to proactively address issues with the hotel's systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any malfunctions or breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards
  • Monitor and control the department's budget, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address any engineering-related issues that may impact hotel operations
  • Provide training and development opportunities to the engineering team to enhance their skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the engineering or maintenance industry, preferably in the hospitality sector
  • Strong technical expertise in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in the engineering field
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills
