Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Manage and supervise the finance team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure effective performance and professional development.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial projections.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate measures to optimize revenue, reduce costs, and enhance profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including tax laws, accounting standards, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, to senior management and stakeholders, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Lead financial audits and assessments, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records.
  • Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and financing options to support business growth and expansion initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes, assessing their potential impact on the organization's financial performance and operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, streamline workflows, and enhance operational efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial position within the healthcare/education industry in the Philippines.
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards, with demonstrated experience in compliance and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data, generate actionable insights, and make strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including team management, mentoring, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving performance, achieving targets, and delivering value-added solutions to support organizational objectives.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
