We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our remote team in the Philippines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and compile monthly financial reports using AppFolio and QuickBooks.
  • Bookkeeping & Reconciliations: Manage and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track expenses, and oversee collection of payments.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate financial and property-related records within AppFolio and QuickBooks, ensuring timely updates and data integrity.
  • Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular and ad-hoc financial reports and analyses to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and variances.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping, ideally in property management or real estate.
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AppFolio and QuickBooks is mandatory. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs) is preferred.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and general ledger processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce accurate financial reports under tight deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Remote Work Readiness: Reliable internet connection, ability to work independently, and strong time-management skills.
