Job Description

I. Job Overview

The position of Purchasing Officer relies on extensive judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of tasks.

II. Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible in researching potential vendors
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
  • Prepares Requests for Payment (RFP), Purchase Orders (PO), Canvass Sheets and other purchasing-related documents
  • Monitors the stock levels of materials based on consumption and forecast
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinated with the Warehouse Main for other deliverables and process
  • Create and monitor internal databases
  • Coordinate with Main Warehouse in monitoring stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Ensures that all submitted Material Requisition Form (MRF) should have a clear specification in full details
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Other tasks that may be assigned by the direct supervisor and/or Management
  • To comply with all of the terms and conditions of ECC Code of Conduct
  • Perform other related task as required by the management

III. Job Requirements

    1. Graduate of any 4-year business/any engineering, preferably Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Business Management or any Engineering course (under licensed)
    1. With at least 3 years of relevant work experience in Construction
    1. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook)
    1. Knowledgeable with construction and engineering materials
    1. With good negotiation skills, strong analytical and planning skills
    1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    1. Ability to manage time to strictly meet project deadlines.
    1. Team player
    1. High level of INTEGRITY
    1. Could work INDEPENDENTLY
