Role Summary

The Human Resources Generalist supports all HR functions for the company, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, compliance, training, performance management, and providing administrative support to the HR Manager. The HR Generalist ensures a productive, compliant, and employee-centric workplace, serving a workforce that includes cashiers, food attendants, office staff, accounting staff, and catering teams. This role is vital in aligning HR practices with the company's operational goals in the food service sector.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in human resources, ideally in the food service, hospitality, or retail industry.
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce (blue-collar and office employees).
  • Key Skills and Competencies: Problem-solving and conflict resolution; Knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices; Familiarity with labor law and compliance; Organizational skills and attention to Detail; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Confidentiality and professional ethics

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment and Staffing:

  2. Coordinate end-to-end hiring for operational (cashiers, food attendants) and administrative staff.

  3. Partner with department heads to forecast staffing needs.
  4. Post job advertisements, screen applicants, conduct interviews, and onboard new hires.

  5. Employee Relations:

  6. Act as a liaison between employees and management to foster positive working relationships.

  7. Mediate conflict and facilitate grievance resolution.
  8. Ensure employee adherence to company rules and policies.

  9. HR Administration and Compliance:

  10. Maintain employee records and ensure legal compliance (labor laws, DOLE requirements, etc.).

  11. Assist with policy development and implementation.
  12. Ensure timely processing of government-mandated benefits (SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth).

  13. Payroll and Timekeeping:

  14. Oversee timekeeping and attendance systems.

  15. Collaborate with the accounting department for accurate payroll processing.
  16. Manage leave applications and absences.

  17. Training and Development:

  18. Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs.

  19. Support skills training and employee development initiatives.
  20. Maintain training records and evaluate program effectiveness.

  21. Performance Management:

  22. Assist in implementing appraisal systems and performance reviews.

  23. Support department heads in performance-related counseling or disciplinary actions.

  24. Health, Safety, and Welfare:

  25. Support health and safety compliance in canteen and catering operations.

  26. Promote employee wellness programs and safe workplace practices.

  27. Managerial Support:

  28. Provide administrative and clerical assistance to the Manager for reports, documentation, and other related tasks.
