JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in cold and dry storage systems to oversee the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of refrigeration and mechanical systems in our cold storage facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all systems operate efficiently and comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and supervise the installation of refrigeration systems for cold storage warehouses.
  • Monitor and maintain HVAC, refrigeration units, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive and corrective maintenance measures.
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and electrical engineers to integrate mechanical systems into overall facility designs.
  • Evaluate energy usage and recommend cost-effective and energy-efficient solutions.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems comply with local and international building codes, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system designs, maintenance schedules, and repair histories.
  • Assist in vendor selection, procurement of equipment, and supervision of contractors during installation and commissioning phases.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a Licensed Mechanical Engineer
  • At least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering in cold storage
  • In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles, industrial chillers, compressors, condensers, and cold room insulation systems.
  • Knowledgeable with CAD software and other engineering design tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
