The Role
As Hello Clever's Country Lead - Philippines, you will be the driving force behind our growth and operations in the market. You'll take full ownership of our commercial strategy, partnerships, and local operations, ensuring we deliver exceptional payment solutions that meet the needs of Philippine businesses. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, working closely with our regional and global teams to align local success with our overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the company's growth strategy in the Philippines
  • Identify and secure high-value merchant, partner, and enterprise opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, regulators, and partners
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance teams to deliver market-fit solutions
  • Represent the company at industry events, forums, and with government agencies
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing local team
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform strategy

About You

  • 7+ years' experience in leadership roles within payments, fintech, financial services, or related industries
  • Proven track record of growing market presence and delivering revenue targets
  • Strong understanding of the Philippine payments landscape, regulations, and market dynamics
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills across merchants, partners, and regulators
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
  • Strong communication skills in English (and Filipino preferred)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the resilience and agility to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling business
