WFH - Bookkeeping & Bank Reconciliation Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations. This role focuses on importing bank transactions, coding expenses, and reconciling checking and credit card accounts to maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience handling high-volume transactions with accuracy and confidentiality.
Job Highlights
Monthly Rate: Php 45,000+
Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST with a 30-minute unpaid break
Work Arrangement: Work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor
Side Note:
Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an "Independent Contractor," the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
Responsibilities
- Import and categorize bank transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile checking accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial records.
- Ensure transactions are coded to the correct accounts in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate general ledger entries.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies through communication with internal teams or vendors.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Generate reports as needed to support management and financial decision-making.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive financial information.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Must have a Windows OS computer.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
