Job Description:

The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible the delivery of Service Portfolio Management – Agile 2.0 including the maintenance of an existing API to help move specific JIRA agile delivery groups and their work items into SPM. The developer will also assist with the population of the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) utilizing automated discovery.

  • Assist teams in their move from JIRA to SPM
  • Maintain SPM with minimum customization to preserve "out of box" functionality
  • Manage and improve ServiceNow Discovery
  • Provides governance to ensure the integrity of the Configuration Management Database
  • Support in the development of use cases and testing procedures, ensuring product functionality, debugging and testing is completed prior to production deployment
  • Build automated testing in ServiceNow ATF.
  • Maintain existing ATF framework and ensure that ATF scripts are kept current
  • Validate/Test API integrations
  • Define configuration items and classes, their attributes, data collection, and governance that are important to support other ITSM modules and business objectives
  • Build and support integrations with data sources other than ServiceNow Discovery
  • Add/update/remove Discovery credentials
  • Create/update/remove Discovery ranges and schedules
  • Interpret Discovery logs and data to diagnose issues.
  • Define identification and reconciliation rules
  • Create/update/remove identification and reconciliation rules

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Expertise and experience with ServiceNow ITOM products

  • Strong ITIL knowledge with the ability to relate concepts to implementation strategies (Asset, Config, Change, Problem, Incident, Release)
  • Any ServiceNow Certification
  • Expertise with scripting languages such as PERL, JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell
  • Experience building catalogue items with multiple workflows
