The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall performance, operations, and profitability of the Fragrance Factory branch. This includes achieving sales targets, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining proper inventory levels, and leading the store team in accordance with company standards and values.

The Branch Manager acts as the primary representative of the company in the branch and ensures that every customer's experience reflects the brand's quality and professionalism.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Operations

  • Plan, implement, and monitor sales strategies to achieve or exceed monthly and annual branch targets.
  • Analyze daily and weekly sales reports, identify trends, and create action plans to boost sales performance.
  • Monitor customer preferences and competitor activities within the area to recommend improvements or promotional ideas.
  • Implement marketing and promotional activities (e.g., product demos, workshops, Perfumer's Club promotions) effectively in-store.
  • Ensure compliance with store operating procedures, visual merchandising standards, and customer service guidelines.

Customer Service & Brand Experience

  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure that all customers receive prompt and courteous assistance.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and provide quick resolutions.
  • Ensure all staff uphold the brand image and product knowledge of Fragrance Factory.
  • Promote the Perfumer's Club membership program and other loyalty initiatives.

People Management

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate store personnel (Sales Associates and Stockman) to perform efficiently and deliver excellent results.
  • Prepare staff work schedules and manage attendance, leaves, and timekeeping records.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance evaluations, and provide feedback for employee development.
  • Endorse HR-related concerns (disciplinary actions, recruitment requests, etc.) to the HR Department or Area Manager.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment aligned with Chemworld's core values.

Inventory & Store Administration

  • Oversee stock receiving, replenishment, and inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Ensure proper display, labeling, and cleanliness of all merchandise and storage areas.
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts and investigate any stock discrepancies or damages.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, particularly for handling fragrance oils and raw materials.
  • Safeguard company assets by monitoring POS transactions, daily cash remittances, and other financial reports.
  • Prepare and submit branch reports (sales, inventory, expenses, manpower, etc.) on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or any related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in retail (preferably cosmetics, personal care, or specialty store industry).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service orientation.
  • Proficient in basic MS Office applications and POS or inventory systems.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of decision-making under pressure.
  • Trustworthy, responsible, and with a high sense of integrity.
  • Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules as required by retail operations.
