Position Overview:
You will be essential to maintaining our establishment's culinary quality in your capacity as a cook. In addition to helping with other facets of kitchen management, your duties will include ingeniously preparing dishes with consistency and upholding standards of food safety and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creatively and skillfully prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and presented according to established presentation standards
- Assist in all phases of kitchen operations including planning, ordering, inventory management, and food preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment.
- Adhere to proper food-handling techniques and safety standards to prevent food contamination and hazards.
- Assist in menu planning, preparation logistics, and ensuring timely service during events
- Liaise and collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with external vendors for sourcing ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding proprietary recipes, kitchen operations, and all sensitive information.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform any other duties and projects as assigned by the management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and best practices in culinary arts.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Culinary degree is highly preferred.
- 1-2 Years of experience with course meals.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
- Ability to maintain composure and efficiency under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the kitchen for extended periods.
- Lift and carry heavy trays and equipment.
- Work in hot and humid kitchen environments.
Working Conditions:
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Fast-paced kitchen environment requiring multi-tasking and quick decision-making.
