Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Technical Superintendent to join our dynamic maritime team. In this role, you will support the Technical Superintendent in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our fleet. Your expertise will be vital in assisting with technical issues, conducting inspections, and implementing maintenance protocols to optimize vessel performance. As an Assistant Technical Superintendent, you will gain exposure to various facets of maritime operations while working closely with engineers and crew members. This position provides an excellent opportunity to cultivate your technical skills and maritime knowledge in a fast-paced environment. You will play an integral role in ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and our company's high safety standards. Additionally, this role will involve collaborating with third-party service providers and suppliers to manage repairs and procure necessary equipment in a timely manner. Responsibilities
  • Assist the Technical Superintendent in managing the technical operations of the fleet.
  • Support in the preparation and execution of planned maintenance systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee dry-docking, repairs, and surveys of vessels as required.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure vessels comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Liaise with marine engineers, crew members, and service providers to address technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of vessel maintenance, repairs, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in budgeting and cost control for technical projects and maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a technical role within the maritime industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of maritime regulations and safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in technical documentation and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel to vessels and docks as needed.
