About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Assistant Controller (Remote) to support the day-to-day operations of our Accounting & Finance department. This role will take direct ownership of key accounting processes while playing an active role in financial close, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly accurate, and takes full ownership of deliverables.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports in compliance with GAAP.
  • Support ongoing system reconciliations, data clean-up, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
  • Contribute to special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting practices.
  • Proven ability to work hands-on in accounting systems and processes.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Experience with NetSuite (preferred) or similar ERP/accounting systems.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.
