JOB SUMMARY:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving premium-quality coffee, beverages, and light snacks to hotel guests and visitors. The position requires prior experience in a café or hospitality setting, ensuring exceptional customer service, consistency in product presentation, and a welcoming atmosphere aligned with hotel standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages according to hotel café standards.
  • Ensure consistent beverage quality, flavor, and presentation.
  • Greet and interact with guests professionally, ensuring a positive and personalized service experience.
  • Take and process guest orders accurately through the hotel's system.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the café bar, seating area, and equipment.
  • Assist in restocking supplies, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and pastries.
  • Follow hotel food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints courteously and efficiently.
  • Support daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Participate in ongoing training for beverage preparation and guest service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 1–2 years of barista experience, preferably in a hotel or upscale café environment.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee blends, brewing methods, and espresso machine operation.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Pleasant personality with a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple orders efficiently.
  • Knowledge of basic cashiering and POS operations.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
  • Training in Food Safety and Sanitation is an advantage.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Hotel-based café environment with direct interaction with guests.
  • Standing for extended periods during shifts.
  • Flexible schedule based on hotel occupancy and operations.
