Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and standardize coffee and beverage recipes to align with the café's brand and target market.
  • Train baristas and café staff on espresso preparation, brewing techniques, latte art, and customer service standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend coffee beans, equipment, and suppliers for quality and cost efficiency.
  • Assist in designing café bar layout for optimal workflow and productivity.
  • Implement and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for coffee preparation and service.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and service.
  • Advise management on menu pricing, ingredient costing, and inventory management.
  • Introduce and demonstrate new trends in coffee (e.g., cold brew, specialty drinks, alternative milks).
  • Provide support in developing promotional beverage concepts or seasonal drink menus.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Barista Trainer, Head Barista, or Coffee Consultant (minimum 3 years).
  • In-depth knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing equipment, and café operations.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Certification in barista training or coffee education
  • Passionate about coffee culture and innovation.
