BASIC FUNCTION
Store merchandising audit functions ensure optimal product presence, compliance with brand standards, and sales efficiency. The Trade Merchandising Supervisor will audit the executions of the current Merchandising agency for total key account branches and is responsible for preparing, reading, and interpreting audit data to drive actionable insights and improvements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Store merchandising audit functions ensure optimal product presence, compliance with brand standards, and sales efficiency. Key roles include:
A. Planogram & Max Cap Compliance Verification:
Ensure products are displayed according to pre-approved layouts (e.g., correct shelf positioning, number of facings, and spacing).
Key checks:
- Product placement accuracy.
- Elimination of "out-of-stock" gaps through coordination with assigned KAM.
- Adherence to SKU-specific visual hierarchies based on SKU ranking per channel.
B. Pricing and Label Accuracy:
Validate correct pricing alignment with market or promotional strategies.
Key checks:
- Price tags match the pricelist.
- Promotional labels are visible and error-free.
- Seasonal and promotional program execution.
C. Audit New Products' Display, Temporary Campaigns & Tactical Rentable:
Ensure proper installation of in-store signage, displays, and promotions.
Key checks:
- Staff awareness of promotion details.
- Customer engagement metrics (e.g., foot traffic, sales lift).
D. Inventory and Stock Management:
Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock situations.
Key checks:
- Real-time inventory accuracy.
- Shelf replenishment efficiency.
- Product condition (expiration dates, damages).
E. Store Appearance:
Ensure stores are visually appealing and safe for customers.
Key checks:
- Cleanliness and organization.
- Compliance with must-stock list assortment.
- Competitor product positioning analysis.
F. Data-Driven Insights for Improvement:
Turn audit findings into actionable strategies.
Key checks:
- Trend analysis to address recurring issues.
- Feedback loops with store teams for corrective actions.
G. Competitor's Activity Report
: Analyze rival brands' merchandising tactics.
Key checks:
- Shelf space allocation compared to competitors.
- Pricing strategies and promotional effectiveness.
QUALIFICATION GUIDES
- 4-year graduate in any business course or any course with relevant experience in merchandising, retail, or sales operations.
- Preferably from an FMCG company or similar fast-paced consumer goods environment with exposure to retail merchandising, store audits, or trade marketing.
- Highly efficient in Excel – VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables.
- Ability to work effectively with others and establish strong team relationships.
- Strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and accountability.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
