Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements.
  • Compile and review balance sheets for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing annual financial statements and reports for stakeholders.

Sales Analysis Reporting:

  • Generate and interpret sales data for online and offline channels.
  • Provide actionable insights to enhance business performance and decision-making.
  • Track sales performance trends and identify areas for improvement.

Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P):

  • Manage and monitor receivables and payables to ensure timely collections and payments.
  • Reconcile accounts monthly to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for invoice verification and payment schedules.

Inventory and Cost Management:

  • Analyze inventory movements and costs to ensure accurate valuation.
  • Work closely with operations teams to track stock levels and adjust financial records accordingly.

Payroll Management:

  • Process employee payroll, ensuring accuracy in salary calculations, adjustments, and deductions.
  • Ensure timely disbursement of salaries and other employee compensations.
  • Maintain payroll records and handle payroll-related queries from employees.

Benefits Administration:

  • Prepare and remit mandatory government contributions, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG, on time.
  • Maintain records of employee contributions and ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Coordinate with relevant agencies to address employee benefit concerns or discrepancies.

Tax Compliance:

  • Ensure timely preparation and filing of taxes (e.g., VAT, withholding tax).
  • Stay updated with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to match financial records with bank statements.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Financial Systems and Process Improvements:

  • Maintain and improve accounting systems and tools for efficient workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost optimization.

Audit Preparation:

  • Prepare and organize financial documents for internal or external audits.
  • Address audit queries and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with management to align financial goals with business strategies.
  • Provide timely financial updates and summaries during meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical ability.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance, payroll, and government-mandated contributions in the Philippines.
