DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and process check disbursements, including uploading payments to BDO online and printing checks for recording in Odoo accounting software.
  • Close voucher payables and manage bills payment, fund transfers, and online payroll uploads via BDO and Metrobank platforms.
  • Prepare BIR worksheets for expanded withholding tax, compensation tax, VAT, and income tax, and submit related forms and payments through the Electronic Filing and Payment System (EFPS).
  • Prepare and submit alpha lists and VAT relief documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process accounting adjustments based on auditor findings to maintain accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor vouchers for release on a weekly basis to ensure timely payment processing.
  • Compute and process employees' final pay and other payroll-related obligations in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Set up, monitor, and close advances in Odoo accounting software and prepare payroll journal entries for accurate recording of payroll expenses.
  • Participate in warehouse inventory audits to verify accuracy and support reconciliation efforts.
  • Maintain and update manual journals and financial records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Review daily voucher payables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
  • Monitor and update lapsing schedules and depreciation records to reflect current financial data.
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and statutory compliance (BIR, VAT, withholding tax).
  • Experience with accounting software such as Odoo, and online banking platforms (BDO, Metrobank) for payment processing.
  • Proven ability to handle payroll, reconciliations, and financial adjustments accurately and on time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in accounts payable processes, check disbursements, payroll processing, and voucher management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for auditing, reconciling accounts, and ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with banks, auditors, colleagues, and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), accounting software, and online banking systems for accurate reporting and documentation.
