Primary Objective of Position

Bartender is responsible for serving beverages and providing excellent customer service in a bar or restaurant setting. Creates a positive and enjoyable experience for patrons, and their skills contribute significantly to the overall atmosphere of a bar or restaurant.

Essential Functions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take drink orders and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
  • Engage with patrons, create a positive atmosphere, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wines,

beers, spirits, and cocktails.

  • Stay informed about new drink trends, ingredients, and beverage options.
  • Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies and adhere to all relevant health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local alcohol regulations and restrictions.
  • Relay customer feedback and special requests to the kitchen or management as needed.
  • Monitor and manage crowd dynamics and address any issues that may arise.
  • Promote special events, happy hours, and promotions to encourage sales.
  • Other job-related responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience as a bartender or in a customer service role is essential
  • In depth knowledge of drink recipes and mixing techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems

Requirements

  • Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management
  • At least 1 year of bartending and beverage experience
  • Fresh graduates with bartending skills and knowledge are welcome
