We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the generation of government benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for [number] employees, including salaries, wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Calculate and remit payroll taxes, including federal and state income taxes, Social Security, Philhealth, Pag Ibig
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, including W-2s, 1099s, and other required filings.
  • Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Assist with payroll audits.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee data.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
  • Process garnishments, child support orders, and other legal deductions.
  • Assist with the implementation of new payroll systems or upgrades.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll operations.
  • Generate and manage government-mandated benefits, including but not limited to SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all government-required reports and payments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies regarding payroll-related matters.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in government regulations related to employee benefits and payroll.
