Job summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented logistics professional to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will manage and coordinate all logistical aspects, from warehousing and inventory management to transportation and delivery, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role requires excellent organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners. Key responsibilities

  • Coordination: Plan and coordinate all logistics operations, including storage, transportation, and delivery schedules.
  • Shipment tracking: Monitor shipments and deliveries, tracking the status of goods from origin to destination and providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Inventory management: Oversee inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and perform regular audits to maintain accuracy and prevent stockouts.
  • Vendor management: Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders to secure optimal rates and services.
  • Order processing: Oversee the full order cycle, from order processing and fulfillment to final delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Problem resolution: Address and resolve any issues or delays related to shipments, inventory discrepancies, or transportation.
  • Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documents, including invoices, purchase orders, and customs paperwork.
  • Data analysis and reporting: Maintain metrics, analyze logistics data, and prepare reports for management to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and international trade laws.

Qualifications and skills

Successful candidates should have experience in logistics or a related field, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in relevant software. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are also important. A degree in logistics or a related field, knowledge of international shipping, experience with ERP systems, and professional certification are often preferred qualifications.
