About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Remote Sensing Analyst to join our team in developing an advanced Planetary Intelligence Platform. This platform leverages geospatial analytics, natural language processing, and machine learning to deliver actionable insights for environmental management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS technologies, geospatial data analysis, and remote sensing, with a keen interest in applying advanced AI and machine learning models to solve real-world environmental challenges.

What you'll do

• Deliver work to a high standard within agreed timeframes and in alignment with company guidelines.

• Assist in the collection, analysis, management, and presentation of spatial, remote sensing, and numerical data.

• Support processes and procedures related to data management, utilization, and analysis.

• Contribute to the communication and presentation of data for environmental, ecological, or project-related purposes.

• Apply programming and automation (e.g., Python) to streamline workflows and improve data analysis.

• Contribute to the development and application of machine learning models for data analysis and interpretation.

• Present and explain data findings to internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and participate in meetings, training sessions, and workshops.

• Perform other duties as directed that align with your skills, knowledge, and training.

What you bring

• Tertiary qualification in Spatial Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Data Science, or a related field with a spatial component.

• Experience (or academic training) in remote sensing, GIS studies, and data analysis.

• Demonstrated knowledge of spatial sciences, remote sensing, and data management.

• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, or modeling.

• Experience with machine learning methods and their application to spatial or numerical data.

• Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to think critically and produce clear, structured reports or scientific writing.

• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Commitment to workplace health, safety, and professional standards.
