What you'll do
  • Push the boundaries of state-of-the-art in the field of spatial data science and artificial
    intelligence (AI)
  • Develop data infrastructure, pipelines, models, and algorithms leveraging remote sensing,
    satellite data, spatial data, and environmental datasets with data science, machine
    learning, and AI
  • Create valuable and visually stunning data products for customers
  • Engage with customers to learn and deliver product-market fit solutions
  • Prototype and explore new capabilities and test hypotheses to expand platform
    functionality
  • Identify data science & AI opportunities and product gaps that drive business growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teammates and external partners
  • Own complete problem domains from customer insight through deployed solutions
  • Make technical, architectural, and strategic recommendations
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and team capability development
  • Take on additional responsibilities that support company growth
  • Present your work and the company to a wider audience, at conferences and webinars
What you bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Spatial Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Data Science, or a related field with a spatial component.

  • Experience (or academic training) in remote sensing, GIS studies, and data analysis.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of spatial sciences, remote sensing, and data management.

  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, or modeling.

  • Experience with machine learning methods and their application to spatial or numerical data.

  • Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to think critically and produce clear, structured reports or scientific writing.

  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Commitment to workplace health, safety, and professional standards.
