Project Manager

I. Job Summary:

The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple engineering projects while managing a team of project engineers and technical staff. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. The manager provides strategic direction, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and drives continuous improvement within the project engineering function.

Key Responsibilities:

II. 1. Project Planning, Monitoring & Execution

· Oversee the preparation and review of project schedules (GANTT charts, progress reports) and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

· Lead project kick-off and status meetings with internal teams and stakeholders.

· Monitor overall project progress, identify risks or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions as needed.

· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.

III. 2. Project Documentation, Compliance & Review

· Approve final project documentation (completion reports, inspection reports, bid plans, etc.).

· Validate technical and financial proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements and company standards.

· Coordinate with service, sales, and application teams to resolve technical discrepancies in project requirements or terms of reference.

· Standardize documentation practices across the engineering team for consistency and audit readiness.

IV. 3. Technical Leadership & Engineering Support

· Provide high-level technical direction for complex engineering projects including retrofitting solutions, actuator designs, and custom mounting requirements.

· Review and approve designs, drawings, and engineering calculations from the team.

· Stay updated with industry trends and innovations to support continuous improvement and innovation.

· Support teams during critical client engagements or site inspections when escalation is required.

V. 4. People Management & Team Development

· Lead, coach, and mentor a team of project engineers and team leads.

· Conduct performance reviews, identify skills gaps, and recommend training and development programs.

· Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs for new team members.

· Promote a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

VI. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration

· Work closely with Sales, Applications, Procurement, and Service departments to ensure seamless project execution.

· Participate in strategic planning and project prioritization meetings with senior management.

· Represent the engineering department in client meetings, audits, and technical discussions when needed.

VII. 6. Other Duties

· Perform other managerial or strategic duties as may be assigned by the Department Head or Executive Leadership.

Professional qualifications

n Education: Degree holder in Engineering such as Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Experience / Technical knowledge

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (required)
• Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred)
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant project engineering experience, with 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Proven track record in managing complex engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, instrumentation, and valve technologies
• Willing to travel to customer facilities, nationwide
