Job Description:
The Accounting Staff for Payroll is responsible for the calculating and preparing pay, deductions and contribution remittances for rank and file employees and supervisors and maintains confidentiality of payroll information. She is likewise in charge of computing and preparing allowance for Marketing and Service trainees. The Accounting Staff for Payroll, under the direct supervision of the Accounting Supervisor/Manager, ensures the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of salary and wages of employees, as well as the remittance of contributions. Should employees have queries relative to their pay, deductions and/or contributions, she is also responsible for attending to such.
Responsibilities:
Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating and inputting data into the system.
Prepares schedule of Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG (HDMF) and PhilHealth contributions, and SSS and Pag-IBIG loans.
Prepares schedule of taxes withheld on compensation.
Calculates 13th month and bonus for employees.
Updates payroll records by entering changes in salary, exemptions, deductions, and job title and department.
Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and nontaxable wages.
Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Provides payroll information by answering employees' queries.
Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
a. College Graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting;
b. Experience in Accounting Services;
c. Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications;
d. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare sales invoices, statements and projections;
e. Attention to detail;
f. Ability to work under pressure;
g. Time management (ability to meet multiple deadlines);
h. Effective(means functional in auditing and accounting);
i. Methodical approach to work;
j. Ability to work with a variety of people;
k. Honest and trustworthy;
l. Respectful; and
m. Flexible.
