About the Role
You'll be the research backbone for a dynamic business that helps clients find the best construction and restaurant industry solutions. This isn't your typical admin role – you'll conduct detective work to uncover the perfect products and services, build relationships with vendors across Canada, and directly influence major business decisions. Your research and analysis will guide purchasing decisions worth thousands of dollars, making your work both meaningful and impactful.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive product research across construction and restaurant industries to identify optimal solutions
- Obtain detailed quotations from vendors, suppliers, and contractors for various products and services
- Perform thorough pros and cons analysis of products, services, and contractors to support decision-making
- Make strategic outbound calls to Canadian vendors and suppliers to gather pricing and specification details
- Post job advertisements on Indeed and manage hiring-related administrative processes
- Maintain detailed call logs and conversation records with all vendor interactions and follow-up requirements
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments with contractors and suppliers
- Summarize research findings and provide clear recommendations for management review
- Handle general administrative tasks and operational support as business needs evolve
- Strong research and analytical skills with ability to evaluate products and services objectively
- Professional phone communication skills and confident demeanour for vendor interactions
- Ability to understand product specifications, measurements, and technical details (construction knowledge helpful but can be learned)
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities with attention to detail
- Experience with online research, vendor sourcing, and quotation processes preferred
- Proficiency with basic office software, online platforms, and job posting sites
- Bonus if you have construction or restaurant industry background
