Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily coding of financial documents in a compliant and timely manner
  • Reconcile supplier statements, bank accounts, and intercompany loans
  • Ensure GST compliance through accurate calculations and reconciliations
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations up to the Trial Balance stage
  • Process batch payments for suppliers and prepare them for authority clearance
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts, including PAYG, superannuation, and wages

Required Experience

  • Proven background in accounting and bookkeeping, with a strong grasp of accounting principles
  • Hands-on experience working with Australian accounting standards and compliance

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficient in Xero with a high level of expertise
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to follow and comprehend detailed instructions

A Successful Candidate Must Have

  • Meticulous attention to detail with a habit of self-checking and auditing their own work
  • A collaborative and respectful approach to working within a team environment

Proficient With

  • Xero (essential)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Hubdoc, Dext, Asana, XBert, Employment Hero, Tanda, MYOB, QuickBooks, Gmail, and Google Drive

Experience Advantage

  • Ability to review and troubleshoot Xero files, prepare journals, and identify key issues for repair
  • Experience preparing BAS and handling payroll, including compliance (training provided if needed)
