Job Summary

Housekeeping at MV Santiago Healthcare Clinic, which shall be located at Rosario,Cavite shall maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene in patient rooms, operating rooms, hallways, and other hospital areas. They ensure a safe and infection-free environment by following strict cleaning protocols and using appropriate disinfectants. They are essential in preventing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and ensuring a comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Sweep, mop, and disinfect floors in patient rooms, hallways, and common areas.

  2. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, and medical equipment.

  3. Properly handle and dispose of infectious waste, biohazard materials, and regular trash.

  4. Follow hospital infection control protocols and safety guidelines.

  5. Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning agents for sterilization.

  6. Adhere to hospital policies regarding hazardous materials and chemical handling.

  7. Change bed linens and restock essential supplies (toilet paper, hand soap, etc.).

  8. Ensure proper waste segregation in patient areas.

  9. Address spills, leaks, and contamination incidents immediately.

  10. Regularly clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring the availability of hygiene products.

  11. Maintain waiting areas, lobbies, and staff rooms in clean and orderly conditions.

  12. Operate and maintain cleaning machines such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and steam cleaners.

  13. Ensure adequate cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.

  14. Report any damages or repairs needed for hospital equipment and facilities.

  15. Attends regular meetings and participates in hospital activities.

Job Qualifications


• At least a High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Basic training and knowledge in housekeeping or janitorial services.


• Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) certification is an advantage.


• Training in infection control and biohazard waste management.


• Previous experience in hospital housekeeping or janitorial services is an advantage.
