Job Summary

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and resort surroundings. This includes daily housekeeping tasks, upkeep of common spaces, and assisting in basic gardening and landscape maintenance. In a 20-room boutique inland resort, the Housekeeping Associate plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Rooms

  • Clean, sanitize, and prepare guest rooms according to resort SOPs.
  • Replace linens, towels, amenities, and ensure room readiness before check-in.
  • Report maintenance issues (plumbing, electrical, fixtures) promptly.

Public Areas

  • Maintain the cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, function areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Support setup and cleanup for events or guest activities.
  • Ensure trash collection and waste segregation are done properly.

Gardening & Outdoor Upkeep

  • Assist in maintaining landscaped gardens, plants, and outdoor areas.
  • Water plants, remove weeds, and ensure pathways and resort grounds are neat.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance for larger landscaping tasks.

Linen & Supplies Management

  • Manage collection and distribution of linens, towels, and uniforms.
  • Track housekeeping supplies and amenities, reporting shortages in advance.
  • Maintain proper storage and usage of cleaning chemicals.

Guest Service Support

  • Respond promptly to guest requests (extra amenities, cleaning assistance).
  • Deliver professional and courteous service at all times.
  • Respect guest privacy and follow lost-and-found procedures.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow cleaning protocols in compliance with DOH and ISO standards.
  • Practice proper handling of cleaning tools, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Support fire, safety, and emergency procedures when needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping, gardening, or janitorial services (hospitality background preferred).
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, gardening basics, and equipment handling.
  • Physically fit for lifting, bending, and extended walking/standing.

Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Flexibility to handle rooms, public spaces, and outdoor tasks.
  • Time management and ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Basic communication skills (English, Filipino; Ilocano is an advantage).
  • Guest service orientation with professional appearance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php Php468.00 per day
