Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems.
  • Staff Management: Supervise facility staff, including custodians and maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Schedule and supervise preventative maintenance, repairs, and renovations, ensuring all work meets established service and quality standards.
  • Develop and manage facility budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized services, ensuring quality and compliance with contracts

Qualifications

  • Education: Typically requires an associate degree or higher in facilities management, business administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Generally requires 3-5 years of experience in facility management or a related area, with a strong understanding of building systems and maintenance processes.

  • Skills: Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems is also important.
